EPISODE 92 REVIEW | POKEMON JOURNEYS BLOG

  This was a pretty fun episode. While Ash acted A BIT too childish in a flanderized fashion at the beginning of the episode, that’s really my only actual gripe with the episode since everything else seemed perfect at best and passable at least. First off, Allister is great. Like, unlike with Bea’s first episodes where they took her personality from the games over to the extreme to the point she was unlikable, Allister was perfectly in-character through and through. It was nice to see him open up more to Ash and Goh, help them along the scavenger hunt, and compliment and even admire Ash a bit, despite their contrasting personalities. Guess we now know who’s the better Stow-on-Side Gym Leader. It was also great to see more of Gengar. I really enjoyed how much more fleshed out he is compared to his previous appearances and the part where Allister briefly touches on his past and relationship with Ash was a good moment.
